I qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive family lawyer in December 2011. I joined the Reading office of Gateley in October 2019 following 3 years at Parfitt Cresswell; 6 years at Turpin & Miller and 9 years at Oxford Law Group. My areas of expertise including:
* Matrimonial finances as part of divorce proceedings
* Separation Agreements
* Domestic abuse including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.
As a member of Resolution I am committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. I follow a Code of Practice that promoted a non-confrontational approach to family problems, encouraging solutions that encourages the needs of the whole family, and in particular the best interests of the children.
I qualified as a Family Mediator (non-practising) in March 2015 during a secondment to Resolution to work as a Family Matters Guide. The Family Matters service was introduced for separating parents, to provide them with the support and information they needed to get through their break-up in a way that was best for their family. The service was funded by the DWP from April 2013 to September 2015. I am not currently taking on mediation work.
I sit on the committee for the Thames Valley Family Lawyers' Society (TVFLS) and am involved in organising training seminars and social events for local family lawyers.
I am a Governor for a local primary school.
In previous positions, I gained experience in criminal defence and residential conveyancing. I also have extensive experience in legal aid family matters.
