A bit about the role...
You’ll take full accountability for the regional business plan that aligns with the national plan across a number of areas. You’ll be responsible for the recruitment, development, and performance of a strong Area Manager team. You will also share responsibility for the shaping and delivery of the Costa UK&I business plan.
- To review and manage your regional P&L monthly and facilitate discussions around area action plans with your Area Managers to ensure that their activity matches your expectations and their objectives
- Ad hoc visits with your Area Managers to those stores that are under-performing to carry out spot checks on high-risk areas e.g., margin gap review, failed NSF audit or labour compliance
- To ensure Quarterly Business Plans are in place and reviewed with the UK&I OD: including sales, profit & marketing plans, succession plans, competitor analysis etc.
- Monthly one to ones with all Area Managers to agree performance and career progression, with a view on maximising their performance capability and potential
- To plan and facilitate regional meetings with your team ensuring that company initiatives are communicated and cascaded through your team and to their store teams. To invite relevant functional guests as and when appropriate.
- Translate detail from key reports/insights into activity and plans to improve commercial performance in your region
- Grow team engagement and motivation by encouraging completion of the company engagement survey and agreeing and sharing plans and actions
- Work with Area Managers and Regional HRBP to ensure that you have people plans in each area and they are incorporated into the regional plan and manpower planning process
