The Corporate Service team within Sydney Metro supports the whole organisation including Operational and Project teams with best-in-class IT, Technology, People and Culture services, Financial Management and Communications functions. We partner closely with the business as well as with senior stakeholders, media and community groups and industry to drive performance, build relationships and manage our exemplary reputation 

The opportunity

We have opportunity for a Workforce Development Advisor to join us in the Corporate Services division.

The primary purpose of the role is to collaborate with key stakeholders both externally and internally and ensure the implementation of workforce development and industry participation requirements with our delivery partners. This role requires a strong contracts management skillset, where you will be providing subject matter expertise to internal teams and contractors, as well as analysis of reports on workforce data. 

You will be involved in:

• Ensuring the implementation and monitoring of the Sydney Metro Workforce Development, Industry and Aboriginal Participation plans, requirements and programs through collaborative partnerships with industry.
• Working collaboratively with the wider Workforce Development and Capability team, Project teams and key stakeholders to support consistent delivery and reporting of workforce development requirements including the NSW Aboriginal Procurement Policy
• Maintaining knowledge and understanding of current operations and future plans of functional and implementation groups across the broader Sydney Metro Office

About you

You are tertiary qualified or have experience in workforce development, vocational training, employment, social policy or corporate social responsibility fields in the infrastructure delivery sector and looking for an opportunity to utilise your workforce development skills and experience.  We are looking for someone that can work collaboratively, provide continuous improvement initiatives and be comfortable with change.

You have extensive experience in workforce development working on infrastructure or construction projects. Ideally, you also have worked in vocational education and training environment within construction or rail, be able to establish productive relationships, work collaboratively with key stakeholders and can provide advice and guidance to key stakeholders professionally.
