At Hermes we’re always on the lookout for new talent and we currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for Warehouse Operatives to join our growing hub team.

We have various shift patterns available:

• Mornings (6am to 2pm) at £11.50 per hour (Includes £1 per hour uplift for seasonal period)
• Afternoons (2pm – 10pm) at £12.00 per hour (Includes £1 per hour uplift for seasonal period)
• Nights (10pm – 6am) at £12.50 per hour (Includes £1 per hour uplift for seasonal period)
• Saturday Weekend mornings (6am to 2pm) at £12.00 per hour (Includes £1 per hour uplift for seasonal period) on Saturday and Sunday
•  Saturday Weekend evenings (6pm to 3am) at £12.50 per hour (Includes £1 per hour uplift for Seasonal period) on Saturday and Sunday
• Sunday Weekend Days- (6am- 4:30pm) at £12.00 per hour (Includes £1 per hour uplift for Seasonal period) on Saturday and Sunday
• Sunday Weekend nights (4:30pm to 3am) at £13.00 per hour (Includes £1 per hour uplift for Seasonal period)

• Full-time contracts are 37.5 hours per week. However, part-time and flexible hours are available.

What You’ll Do:

Our Warehouse Operatives work with a clever conveyor system that moves our parcels through the Warehouse. You will be responsible for:

• Loading and unloading of vehicles

• Manual and Automatic Sorting

• Moving pallets

• Usage of hand-held terminals (HHT’s) and Pump-trucks (Full training provided)

At times, you'll have to deal with large volumes of parcels, but you'll be given space to get the work done, thinking quickly to hit moving targets.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

• Ability to comply with company and health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team – previous Warehouse Operative experience would be an advantage but not essential.
