Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an expert Java Developer to join a new team building high-performance services to power our financial market division specifically the FX STIRT business in CITI.

You will work closely with Business/product owners and team members to design, build and integrate targeted client solutions into the electronic pricing offering in FX STIRT. To meet the demands of our clients, our delivery lifecycles are very tight measured in weeks and months

Key Responsibilities:

• Create microservices in Java & Python

• Read/write data in SQL, NoSQL, S3, Kafka, etc

• Produce fast, reliable and scalable systems

Skills & Qualifications:

• You have a great understanding of Java and its latest features, such as streams and lambda expressions

• You want to learn and apply JVM languages, such as scala, Clojure and Kotlin

• You understand how to use data systems, such as SQL, NoSQL, S3 and Kafka

• You are interested in creating microservices over REST, reactive streams, etc

• You have high development standards, especially for code quality, code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment

• You are an adaptable, resourceful, well organised team player with a strong work ethic

• You agree that verbal and written communication skills are vital
