The Company

Our client is a dynamic and growing publicly traded company based in the Burlington area. Due to exciting global growth, they are adding a VP Finance to the team.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, the VP Finance will help lead the strategic direction of the organization and be responsible for overall financial planning and analysis. The VP Finance also oversees the Tax and Treasury functions. Only candidates with construction or engineering industry experience will be considered for this position. Preference will be given to candidates with structured project financing experience on multi-million-dollar projects and extensive M& A experience on several large deals.

About You

To be considered for this position, you are a CPA or MBA with 10+ years of experience. You started your career in a Big 4 CPA firm where you gained strong IFRS/US GAAP financial reporting experience. After jumping to industry, you have shown impressive career progression and are no longer involved in the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting of your organization. You possess broad experience overseeing FP& A, Tax and Treasury and have several years in the construction or engineering industries.  In your impressive career, you have also spearheaded structured project financing on multi-million-dollar projects. In addition, you have extensive M& A experience and have been involved in conducting due diligence on several large deals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting
• Assist CFO with strategic direction of the organization
• Senior Finance Partner to business units across the globe
• Oversee treasury, including cashflow management, working capital, and trade financing requirements
• Oversee global tax planning and compliance
• Responsible for structured project financing
• Assist in raising capital and debt financing

• CPA designation or MBA
• 10+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance
• Construction or engineering industry experience
• Responsibility for managing tax and treasury functions
• Oversight of financial planning and analysis process
• Structured project financing experience
• M& A experience
• Past experience raising capital and debt financing
