A Radio Operator is critical to the effective front-line service response to search and rescue incidents on the water provided by highly competent volunteers and professionals. In addition to Search and Rescue services, Coastguard provides a variety of information and educational services designed to maximise the public's safe enjoyment of the water.
As part of the Communications North team, your diverse range of responsibilities will contribute to Coastguard's 24/7, 365-day safety-related communications service. Interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, you will deliver Coastguard's range of safety and information services combined with a series of administrative and project functions for Coastguard, nation-wide.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and an ability to work with confidence during high-pressure situations. We are looking for a team player with the ability to influence, make critical decisions and encourage those around them.
