A career within Delivering Deal Value will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction, pre and post completion. We conduct pre deal and confirmatory due diligence, execute large-scale enterprise wide integrations, and support complex divestitures and separations on a wide range of functional and cross-functional areas.

We help our clients determine the right strategic priorities to grow profitably and maximize shareholder value, while offering support and practical solutions to achieve these objectives. We combine strategic insight, rigorous financial and operational analysis and in-depth industry expertise with access to PwC's global network of industry and functional specialists, local knowledge and resources.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

Our Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team assists Corporate, Government and Private Equity clients in their acquisition, integration and divestiture activity. This team assists clients in all operational aspects of the deal, pre and post completion. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Buy and sell side operational due diligence;

  • Day1 readiness and taking control;

  • Post-acquisition integration;

  • Deal transaction execution;

  • Synergy review and planning; and

  • Carve out and separation. 

As part of the transaction process, the DDV team develops a rapid understanding of the target/client business in order to quickly assimilate the key operational issues, synergies, risks and upsides around a transaction.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Experience in a leading management consulting firm at a senior leadership level, demonstrating extensive knowledge of Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures including pre-deal operations and information technology due diligence, integration planning, separation planning, synergy and cost savings analysis, and/or post-close transformation, with extensive knowledge of one or more of the following functional areas: Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, and/or Sales and Marketing

  • Extensive ability to manage and develop strategic client relationships while providing the highest quality client work across multiple client projects

  • Developing a business vision and leading complex projects while functioning as a trusted advisor at the highest levels of client organizations

  • Directing and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex data

  • Taking a lead role in business development and pursuit activities both internally with client pursuit teams and externally with client facing meetings and proposal discussions

  • The ability and willingness to travel extensively within Canada and internationally will also be expected in this role

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
