Unified End Point Management Technical Engineer - 112023 


THE ROLE
 

AMD is looking for a Unified End Point Management Technical Engineer who will be responsible for architecture, deployment, managing, and troubleshooting our Unified End Point Management solutions for both client systems and mobile devices. This includes but not limited to planning, design, implementation, and management of the platforms, infrastructure, and applications to provide solution architecture guidance in alignment with security updates, patch management, automatic hardware and software inventory tracking, logging, mobile device management, software and OS deployment, workstation remote control options, software license management, and overall remediation of issues. This Engineer will work directly with different departments within IT, Information Security, and our employees to ensure 100% adoption and securing all endpoints (Windows, Mac, IOS, Android), both in and outside of the office.

Key responsibilities

  • SCCM/Intune Architecture and Administration – including stagnant device clean up, enrollment troubleshooting, application push through SCCM, and NIST compliance.
  • Windows OS Build Deployment – construct efficient processes for build, capturing and maintaining updates and deployment including BIOS and drive update dependency.
  • Software, Application, and Security distribution – Architect and evolve processes for timely distribution while following current industry practices including package failure troubleshooting, package creation, and device root cause troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Autopilot – with a strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
  • JAMF – enrollment, troubleshooting, and policy creation.
  • GPO design and implementation – including NIST.
  • Android and iOS compliance policy enforcement and troubleshooting.
  • AMD Workstation Image Management.
  • Coordinate with worldwide managed service partners.
  • Support critical issues related to above applications and coordinating Application vendors.

Preferred experience

  • Strong knowledge in Intune, SCCM, Azure AD.
  • Strong knowledge in PowerShell/Batch scripting and using command line.
  • Application packaging for deployment with SCCM/Intune.
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows OS and Windows Management Tools.
  • Strong OS and Application troubleshooting.
  • Validation testing for patching/builds applications.
  • Proven experience in building processes and architecting a solid End Point management strategy for secure corporate environment.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of management.
  • Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.

Academic credentials

  • B.S. or higher in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
