A career in Products and Technology, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth.

Our Information Technology Development team helps develop and supports internal information technology systems and applications for use by all staff levels. You’ll help our team develop programmes and applications that cater to PwC’s strategic technology needs using your knowledge of technical domains of application.

What you’ll create and do

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

As a UI Developer, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role  include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development team’s efforts towards successful product delivery 

  • Analyze and resolve technical problems (with support of vendor if required) 

  • Collaborate with other team members on project tasks based on colleagues’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

  • Work with vendor to develop L&D materials for onboarding the developers

  • Collaborate with Assurance and MySolutions teams to develop, own and execute roadmap and drive delivery from concept to release

  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements (features, user stories, and acceptance criteria)

  • Collaborate with Assurance and MySolutions teams (SMEs and LoS Leads) to identify top priorities for the upcoming sprint and creates a sprint plan

  • Provide updates to the SMEs/LoS supporting Leads/Leadership on progress

  • Guide other developer on the team as needed

What you’ll bring to this role

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

  • Several years of  UI development experience 

  • Experience working in agile teams and with product delivery

  • Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of Web UI development (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)

  • Experience with SQL, relational databases and API/Web service development and testing skills

  • Demonstrated experience in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Ci/CD pipelines will be advantageous

  • Proven experience in Liquid development and/or Template Language equivalent is prefered

  • Prior or current working knowledge with Silverfin will be considered an asset

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and listening skills to liaise with local stakeholders and understand and improve their technology experience
