We are looking for a candidate to join a strong and motivated team in the Lloyds Banking Group Technology Resilience and Workplace Engineering (TWRE) - Systems Management Services (SMS) Tower that specialises in Discovery and Enterprise Monitoring & Alerting Services (EMAS).
We are looking for a specialist that will focus on working on the discovery of all Bank configuration items across multiple platforms!

    Job Description

Lloyds Banking Group is the UK’s biggest Retail, Digital and Mobile bank with over 30 million customers. Our products touch the lives of millions, so we have a big responsibility.

We’ve placed digital banking at the heart of our strategy to become the best bank for customers, backed with significant investment into areas such as Data Science, Machine Learning and Robotics.

And it's the role of our Chief Information Office (CIO) who provide the backbone and infrastructure upon which the bank of the future sits.

So why join CIO as a Technical Specialist?

We have a strong team, and we want to add to that by finding a candidate that will support strategy, design, development and support of Lloyds Banking Group discovery tooling with a view to leading this area forwards in the future.  The role will also include delivering consultancy to mostly infrastructure projects at solution and design stage and throughout the project management life cycle. We collaborate with many teams across LBG to meet the banks aims so the ability to listen, digest and feedback is key.

You'll be supporting the execution of the strategy and direction of TRWE-SMS-EMAS and support the Service Manager in the delivery of internal team projects and initiatives in the 1-3 year plans to achieve that strategy, which would also include the support and maintenance of the software products owned by the EMAS Team.

You'll also support the systems management infrastructure and initiatives to continuously improve service. This will require an appreciation of and a balancing of business imperatives, costs, benefits and technology futures and the ability to support the line manager in gaining support within senior management.

    About you;

    • Strong people leadership/followership skills to enable colleagues to be kept aware of Service Delivery strategic direction and understand how it impacts the team, and suggest strategies for transformation.

    • Forward thinking and vision to support and maintain strategic roadmaps and plans for Monitoring & Event Management technologies.

    • Demonstrable ability to operate/interact and have the gravitas to work with senior managers within Service Delivery and business IT areas.

    • Highly motivated and focused with good “self starter” capabilities, social skills and proven product experience.

    • Install and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies, and to agreed service levels.

    • Good diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from various sources, allowing the provision of highly effective solutions and service / process improvements in complex environments.

    • Evaluate, plan and manage new Systems Management technologies and initiatives.

    • Strong quality and service focus, with excellent partner management skills in order to promote the area and technologies within it to key operational and business areas.

    • Work with customer areas to determine and document requirements, defining test and implementation plans for new monitoring, event management & automation solutions.

    • Provide out of hours support and callout for Monitoring toolsets to 24X7 Operations.

    • Private health cover.

    • Wider corporate benefits and perks.

You’ll join us in building a 21st century bank, and craft an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel encouraged and valued.
