As blockchain continues to mature, we are seeing more and more real-world applications. Some of these solutions are applied to finance, banking, supply chain and identity management. Some central banks are even embracing the notion of issuing digital currencies on blockchain.

And we need your software engineering skills to make all of this work.

In this software engineering role, you’ll be writing TypeScript code that powers an ecosystem of blockchain applications. This role is suitable if you’re an experienced software engineer who enjoys working on complex research and development projects. You will be working as part of a small, experienced team of software engineers who work collaboratively to solve problems together. 

This is a full-time software engineering position, which includes a competitive base salary, paid vacation and health and dental benefits. 

This is an attractive role if you’re interested in using TypeScript and blockchain to develop practical, real-world applications. You’ll be working with a supportive, collaborative team of software developers who have good financial-backing and a well-established global customer base. 

You will be working primarily with TypeScript, along with a variety of open-source languages and frameworks, depending on the specific project. If you have past experience using JavaScript or even Java, that would lend itself well to this role. The main thing is that you’re interested to embrace TypeScript and its features.

Requirements

Here are some of the items that you'll bring to the table for this role: 

[-] You have five or more years of experience developing complex software solutions

[-] You are an open-source enthusiast, and you enjoy researching new languages and frameworks

[-] You are comfortable working with team members who are distributed across BC and even further afield

[-] You have an interest in blockchain technologies (previous blockchain experience is not required)
