The Opportunity

As Civil/Structural Drafter you will play a critical role in the end to end delivery of Transmission Line designs. Our ideal candidate will be confident using AutoCAD and have drafting experience with structural, foundation, and steelworks projects. Transmission line design is an added advantage, but if you do not have this, we will help train you in this space. Requirements of the role include but are not limited too:

• In conjunction with consultants, drafting and engineering staff, prepare detailed overhead line route, profile, pole set-out, load-tree, and structural engineering design and construction drawings.
• In conjunction with consultants, drafting staff, and project engineers, prepare detailed civil and structural engineering layout, design, and construction drawings.
• Assist with review of drafting work undertaken by other transmission drafters as required.
• Interpret and implement design information provided by Engineers, Design Managers, etc.
• Produce CAD drawings in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for compliance with client requirements and standards, and to ensure completeness prior to issuing for manufacturing/construction

 Requirements

• Full working rights in New Zealand 
• Strong understanding/knowledge of AutoCAD
• A minimum of 2 years experience 
• Knowledge of New Zealand or Australian standards
• Good communication skills both verbally and via email
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• A keen eye for detail and motivation towards furthering your technical skills.
• Ability to priorities tasks and manage time to ensure delivery of multiple projects simultaneously
• A sound understanding of, and experience with, online project collaboration programs
