About the team
The role sits within the Advanced Technical Services team of the Infrastructure and Place Division, comprising of close to 100 highly qualified staff.
In the Roads and Traffic Engineering team, we are working hard to enable improved travel experience and safer and more reliable and resilient transport systems for the NSW communities and customers through standards and technology.
The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to support the Senior Manager Traffic Engineering team in improving traffic engineering and management outcomes and consistency across the organization, through stakeholder management, contract improvements and ongoing development of performance and business improvement initiatives.
Assist the functional managers with the preparation and analysis of acceptance procedures, guidelines, standards, policies, supplements and other technical documents related to traffic engineering and transport management.
Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project and business plans
Independently manage Roads and Traffic Engineering documentation by compliance with quality control systems, relevant legislation and policies and procedures, and effective utilisation of document management systems.

About you
To be successful, you will have an understanding of road and traffic management, demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities and execute tasks with a high degree of accuracy, to achieve results within strict time constraints. The ability to carry out administrative arrangements for meetings, functions, conferences and workshops along with sound oral and written communication skills. Being able to effectively manage your time while engaging with the business will also by key.
Salary and Benefits
