The opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for a Track and Civil Lead to be a part of our Major Works division within Sydney Trains. This is a varied and challenging role with excellent career development opportunities and one that does not come around very often!
The Track and Civil Lead is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring teams are adequately resourced with qualified capability to meet project demands. You will manage a high performing frontline team of 50+ Project Engineers while managing a financial budge and controlling the allocation and deployment of resources to provide planning, engineering, project management and support for a diverse range of projects.
About you
You will be a strong leader with considerable operational experience in managing Track and Civil construction/maintenance projects in a safety critical environment. You will also be a confident decision maker with excellent influencing and negotiation skills; coupled with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Proven experience of managing financial budgets and the ability to drive business process improvements are also a must for the successful applicant.
As safety is number one priority for Sydney Trains, you will be able to demonstrate experience in managing safety compliance in a complex multidisciplinary environment.
