About this role

This role will be focused on Tenant Onboarding for BT’s Network Cloud Platform. You’ll be part of BT’s exciting data network evolution as we migrate to SDN. It’s critically important and is one of BT’s future strategic platforms. BT’s goal is to have all the services we offer (where appropriate) running on this platform, including BT’s 5G core mobile network. It is therefore vital that Network Cloud is built using the best technology, implemented using industry best practices and using agile principles.

As a Tenant Onboarding Professional, you will work with the Tenants & internal Network cloud teams to provide the following services :

- Consultancy Services with the Tenant to help them understand how their application will be onboarded onto Network Cloud

-Taking the Tenant’s requirements and turning into design documentation.

- Configuring network devices, firewall devices, openstack devices and building virtual machines.

- Raising the required changes records & working with internal BT teams to implement the required tenant configurations out of hours.

- Provide support on troubleshooting Tenant deployments and in-life issues.

- Co-Develop solutions with our CI-CD Team for future deployments and new requirements.

Our Tenant Onboarding Professional set up and maintain documentation of the existing technology and solutions. They will help to design the concept and process and work in conjunction with our delivery team to resource allocate. They will work with our capacity team to create data usage and precise performance reports and provide technical judgment on present day and future forecasting.

They actively participate in technical meetings to suggest new ways to provision Tenants using automation and repeatable processes. They aid in training sessions to help their other colleagues and ‘horizon scan’ for the future.

You'll have the following responsibilities

     Supports our Tenant deployments, requiring management of risk and business impact.

Supports the identification and resolution of issues to ensure delivery to required standard.

Develops working relationships and communicates with a range of stakeholders across teams to ensure actions completed, progress updated and impacts on other components managed.

Reviews own work and peers’ outputs to contribute to identify and flag errors or potential issues.

Assists with planning and monitoring of all activities, from scoping to live, to ensure agreed scope and benefits are delivered in a contained project.

You'll have the following skills & experience

     Worked alongside colleagues/lead team through a period of intense stress and pressure.

Suggested cost savings to assist budgets.

Delivered results when the deliverables were unclear.

Have knowledge of Network deployments within a virtualised environment (Juniper Preferable).

Have knowledge of compute and storage implementation within a virtualised environment (OpenStack Preferable).

Have knowledge of scripting technologies (Python & Ansible Preferable).

Proficient in the use of MS Office products.
