Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. Under minimal supervision, the Purchasing Coordinator will perform all duties related to purchase order entry and post entry supply chain tracking. The Purchasing Coordinator will work with internal personnel as a liaison between supply and demand orders and will interact with both foreign and domestic suppliers to maintain pricing and delivery scheduling. The motivated Purchasing Coordinator will be supporting the requisition of products, vendor reconciliations of overdue invoices, monitoring the inventory, banking window coverage, and back up reception is on a as needed basis but not regular duty. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accurate entry proofing, maintenance and submission of purchase orders based on customer demand, stock replenishment and management direction
  • Maintain superior level of accuracy while creating and verifying purchase order information including proper product cost, shipment instructions etc.
  • Coordinate order status report submission from suppliers, resolve changes, discrepancies and update purchase order information accordingly
  • Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and maintain supplier price lists
  • Maintain all vendor reports, evaluate all issues and assist to prepare all data reports for all purchasing as well as managing all buying trends

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Purchasing Functions
  • Administrative Assistance experience
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to make quick decisions
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
  • Professional level purchasing agent experience in public sector is an asset
