Reporting to the Senior Technology Manager the ‘Data Specialist | Data Delivery’ is a new and exciting role within the team. Specifically created to ensure best practices are followed and governance adhered to across a broad range of data and reporting deliverables in a growing team.

As the Technology Specialist - Data Delivery you’ll be accountable for:

• Assure governance of processes in delivery management and production

• Develop a multi-domain understanding, ensuring consistency in our deliveries into the business and that each one adheres to our ‘definition of done’

• Helping our Product Owners ensure developments are moved into service and support effectively and comprehensively

• Providing oversight of the team domain-based deliveries to ensure we are working towards our wider strategic goals and not delivering single-point solutions

• Improve and monitor the quality of documentation across the outcomes the team delivers and the solutions/services that it supports

• Support our Product Owners with their data and reporting programmes across the various business domains, including assisting with financial tracking and control

• Being flexible, approachable and an active part of the Data Services team

About You

You’ll ideally have the following skills, experience and interests:

• Practical experience in delivering outcomes in Data and Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, etc. Familiar with relevant technological solutions, industry best practices

• An understanding of and ideally experience working Agile and experience with supporting tools, such as Jira, is even better

• You’ll be acutely aware of how important putting the right information, in front of the right people, at the right time is, to a business like ours, and how important it is that our deliveries are made to the best possible standard

• An understanding of the offshore delivery model. If you have experience working with offshore teams, that’s all the better

• Understand (not necessarily technical knowledge) the concepts of cloud computing, data warehousing and enterprise reporting (we use Google Cloud Platform/Biqquery/Qlik)

• Experience in managing and working with demanding stakeholders in a complex business environment
