About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technology function in the role of Technology Project Manager.

The role is responsible for establishing cross-functional teams to

• implement a range of IT enabled projects, ensuring target benefits to Morrisons
• Maintain the integrity of quality, speed and cost
• Be responsible for planning, managing and delivering infrastructure asset replacements in one of the following; cloud migration solutions; network upgrades; Wi-Fi installations; client hardware / software solutions; Data centre remediation; Security solutions

The role will be responsible for leading Project Management of IT projects aligned to a significant business change initiative / programme; Matrix management of Project and Trainee Project Managers ensuring alignment to the overall strategic IT and business aim; At any time, the role will manage either one large/complex initiative or a range of smaller projects.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following role-specific knowledge, skills & experience:

Knowledge

Prince 2 Certification (or equivalent) 

Understanding of Agile methodology and practices (optional)

Skills

Able to produce detailed project plans to measure progress

Able to produce a business case to provide justification for project

Manage vendors, contract and internal staff to achieve outcomes

Define financial requirements and manage large/complex budgets

Identify, deliver and measure project benefits

Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies

Determine, setup and maintain apt governance and support structures

Assure project performance at key lifecycle stages with appropriate MI

Establish and maintain stakeholder strategy and communications

Specify functional and non-functional requirements and align to project plan and resourcing

Manage changes to requirements / scope in a controlled way

Experience

Successful management of several concurrent projects

Managed large & complex project/programme (>£20M, multiple delivery streams & stakeholders)
