  1. Rehearsal day - £100 (date tbc; between 13th & 17th September)

  2. 18th September - The Lowry (Shadowing) £100

  3. 25th September - Travel Same Day - York - £100

  4. 26th September - Travel day £100

  5. 1st October - Travel Same Day - Aberystwyth - £100

  6. 2nd October - Theatre Severn - £100

  7. 3rd October - Travel Day - £100

  8. 6th October - Travel Same Day - Coventry - £100

  9. 7th October - Norfolk - £100

  10. 8th October - Travel day / Train - £100

10 Dates - Total fee £1000

Travel days, transport and accommodation for venues outside of the Northwest will be provided

Description

We’re looking for a Touring Technician to support the creation and delivery of a UK tour of a new

play ‘The Killer Question’.

​

The Technician is required to be able to operate technical equipment to a high standard and be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient technical presentation of all performances; working collaboratively with the core creative team and various theatre venues.

​

The role will involve:

  • Working closely with the stage manager to facilitate all ‘get ins’ and ‘get outs’.

  • Liaising with Lighting Design and LX Technician on technical and rigging requirements

  • Operating the show

  • Good health and safety knowledge including latest CV-19 requirements.

  • Assist with load in and out of all touring equipment.

  • other duties as necessary

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Some experience of operating theatrical productions.

  • Resilient disposition and ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with performers, crew, venue teams and others

  • Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • A proactive and flexible approach

Useful

  • First aid qualification

  • Good understanding of power generation and distribution

  • Experience of touring
