As a Technical Specialist within the Graphics & Data Delivery team you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of television productions by providing technical solutions for innovative projects for Sky Sports and Sky News.

The broadcast technology landscape is quickly evolving both in Sky and across the industry. This role uniquely allows you to join a growing group of professionals focused on constantly learning, perfecting, and expanding our mastery of traditional and groundbreaking technologies.

What you’ll do:

• Be at the forefront of broadcast technology and work with the latest technologies available in the industry and help shape the future of how broadcast graphics are being delivered.
• Be a proactive team member that independently leads and implements new and existing broadcast production requirements.
• Play an active role in the definition of new features and workflows to be implemented by vendors and internal teams.
• Contribute to and communicate technical solutions to complex requirements involving many stakeholders, such as vendors, production, creative and support teams.
• Create diagrams, documentation and training on the provided solutions.
• Offer second level and operational support for various internal support teams.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience with real-time broadcast engines (Vizrt, Chyron, Unreal, Unity).
• Knowledge of setup and calibration of optical or mechanical broadcast tracking solutions (Ncam, Mo-Sys, StYpe, Trackmen).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to troubleshoot issues and handle pressure in a live on-air environment.
• Ability to produce concise technical and non-technical reports.
• Understanding of REST, JSON/XML/YAML, Ansible, Powershell – a plus.
• Experience with newsroom system, MOS automation – advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of various Network protocols.
• Understanding of Active Directory environments.
