The most important aspect of this role is to be able to translate the output of the Business Analysis requirement specification into a solution design, then build that solution.

You will also be able to work in a rapid application development ‘hothouse’ type format with loosely defined requirements, contribute to the discussion and options for a solution and build prototypes there and then.

You will also will have a passion for IT system user experience and optimisation of system performance. Although, a Developer by trade your mind-set is geared to protection of the production environment being the ultimate priority.

A logical thought process and the ability to diagnose issues and translate them into Defect specifications is the other must have capability

What you’ll do:

Development of new applications, features and defect fixes, delivered via Agile Squads

The development assignment will be based on HR Service Delivery applications and modules within ServiceNow

Working in conjunction with the Business Analyst to define technical solutions for enhancements and defects

Manage and maintain the HR Service Portal

Manage support queues when required

Provide out of hours on-call support when required

What you’ll bring:

Minimum 2 years ServiceNow experience, including at least 12 months experience of working on ServiceNow’s HRSD application and exploiting Service Portal technology coupled with the back-end power of the platform

Knowledge and experience if IT Security applications and modules in ServiceNo

ServiceNow accredited Advanced System Administration

2 years’ JavaScript development experienc

2 years’ Service Portal Web site/application development

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

Your base site will be in Livingston, however due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we’re having to flex our recruitment and working practices to ensure we keep you and our staff safe. If you’re invited to an interview, it’s likely this will be a virtual interview using video, and we’ll do our best to make the process smooth and straight forward for you. Should you be successful for this role, it’s likely you’ll need to spend some of your time working from home to begin with. You may be required to return to working full time at your base location with short notice, in line with any changes to government guidance, but we’ll talk to you about this in more detail at the right time.
