Technical Program Manager – HPC/AI

 

THE ROLE:

Technical Program Manager for AMD’s Datacenter GPU and Accelerated Computing engineering team.  In this role you will work with AMD’s business development team, hardware engineers, software developers, and customers to bring to life the world’s fastest servers for HPC and AI.  You will be responsible for planning, driving, and reporting on joint product development and qualification with top customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and drive strategic, customer-facing programs to develop and qualify AMD GPU hardware and software to accelerate HPC and AI workloads with our customers, top server OEMs and cloud service providers.
  • Build and lead program core teams.
  • Build program plans in conjunction with AMD and customer engineers.
  • Report execution status to executives, customers, and co-workers.
  • Make critical customer communications.
  • Drive actions and escalations internally and externally.
  • Facilitate closure of complex issues requiring multi-party alignment of AMD teams, customers, and partners.
  • Manage and handle issues and escalations with a sense of urgency and proactive problem solving.
  • Build engineering relationships with program management and engineering counterparts at customers.
  • Design, implement, and gain support for new processes, where needed.
  • Availability for discussions with coworkers and customers in other time zones.
  • Limited travel (0 - 5%).

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Consistent record leading and successfully delivering medium-to-large tech programs.
  • Building and leading cross-functional core teams.
  • Building and managing relationships with customers or partners.
  • Utilization of modern program management and issue tracking tools.
  • High level understanding of server architecture, server software and HPC/AI workloads.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, or computer science preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus, but not required.

 

LOCATION:

Austin, TX; Santa Clara, CA; or Markham, Canada
