Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience managing physical security technology projects from evaluation, to design and execution.
• Experience interacting with technical and non-technical groups to drive business outcomes.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in technology strategy development, design, and execution within the Physical Security industry with PMP, or CSPM, certification.
• Experience with Physical Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Management, PSIM, and Architecture.
• Ability to take initiative and build productive relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving and written communication skills.
• Excellent project management and planning skills including attention to detail, information organization, timeline tracking, prioritization, dependencies, budgeting, and comprehensive communication across many teams and at all organizational levels.

About the job

As a Technical Program Manager for Global Security and Resilience Technologies, you will be a part of the team responsible for our enterprise physical security systems, focused on intents such as design, engineering, and technology identification in the pursuit to keep Googlers safe and secure. You will leverage user-centric design, threat modeling, and internal data to drive solutions and business decisions. In this role, you will use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal clients, cross-functional partners, and Engineering teams to develop security technology strategies and solutions with a focus on scalable growth, automation, and best business outcomes.
• Support the build and implementation of both first- and third-party technology solutions from strategic planning to tactical activities such as gathering requirements, developing user stories, lab testing, evaluation, integration, and rollout planning.
• Identify and track changing business conditions in Google, relevant industries, and evolve security technology strategies and related products based on research, data, and market trends.
• Establish a technology roadmap and prioritized project plans, focused on enterprise value and deployment risk.
• Serve as a trusted consultant to internal customers and represent users and customers in every thought and interaction.
