Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in planning and delivering technical product development.
• Experience with data collection and/or analytics.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with the mobile space.

About the job

As a Technical Program Manager for Android, you will work on a wide variety of problems on a regular basis as the ecosystem is rapidly changing.

In this role, you'll be part of the cross-functional leadership team responsible to define, execute, and land an ambitious roadmap. You'll partner with Engineering and Product Management to formulate strategy and direction for an evolving set of high-priority projects and will put that strategy into motion through focussed execution. You'll scope requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle (managing schedules, identifying risks, and clear communication). You'll also share analyses and recommendations with executives after discussing trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Balance detail-orientation (tactical) with big picture understanding (strategic).
• Partner with Engineering and Product leads to define and drive the organization's initiatives with regard to Android device features.
• Identify relevant stakeholders across Android/Google and creating effective collaboration frameworks between teams (within and across product areas).
• Define, launch, and run programs aimed at enabling our ambitious Android device roadmaps. Advocate for our Android device features focused initiatives across Android.
• Develop a deep understanding of the complex space we constantly have to navigate in order to land impactful features across many Android teams.
