We are looking for a Technical Lead for Monitoring & Automation. This role sits within the Hosting team and reports into the Infrastructure Service Owner within Wolseley IT.

We operate flexible working environment; your base location will be either Warwick or Ripon Head office and you will come into the office as and when required.

The purpose of this role is to lead the operational delivery of the Monitoring & Automation service and ensure an excellent level of service is provided, within agreed and measurable service levels.  

They will be the primary escalation point for all operational activities for the related component areas. They will be responsible for driving a continuous improvement agenda and working in partnership with Service Owners & Delivery Manager to provide or coordinate Subject Matter Experts into projects. 

There will also be an element of assisting the Hosting Service Owner in the strategic roadmap activities within the scope of the Monitoring & Automation service. 

Up for the challenge? Here’s what we’d like you to have: 

• Strong demonstrable experience of Monitoring and Automation software administration, specifically SCOM\SCORCH  

• Strong Scripting skills specifically in PowerShell  

• Experience administering SIEM tools ideally SPLUNK or Elasticsearch  

• Experience of running and working in a large technical enterprise environment
