The opportunity

Our Auckland Civil Structures team specialise in the design, assessment and asset management of bridges and civil structures from ports, cut & cover tunnels to airport works and rail. A strong pipeline line of Port / Marine work for our team means that we have an opportunity for a Technical Director level Structural Engineer to join our Auckland team. We are intending that this role will take a lead role in our portfolio of port and marine structures work.

Every day will provide you with new challenges and look a little different, overall, this role will see you:

• Providing expertise in structural analysis and design - covering structural steel and reinforced concrete. Marine/Bridge and seismic design experience are essential.
• Job delivery, including experience in work planning and financial management, together with client relationship skills and proposal preparation.
• Building strong customer relationships and demonstrate your ability to understand our client's core business and ensure that services meet their expectations.
• Utilising your network of contacts and business development skills to actively promote our business and develop client relationships.
• Demonstrate your ability and passion for providing technical advice and project leadership while embracing a culture that values teamwork.

About you

You love to learn and share knowledge and someone who can bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them and who constantly seeks better practice for the overall quality of our work and our client experience. You are a chartered structural engineer with a strong track record of delivering marine and port projects in a similar consultancy environment. Being a values-driven individual, you will enjoy sharing the successes of your colleagues and delivering excellence.

Your strengths in technical leadership, project delivery, client relationships and guiding and mentoring staff will ensure your success. You're passionate about the opportunity to grow others, motivated by being in leadership roles with the ability to own the delivery of quality client outcomes.
