He angitūtanga : About the Role
We are seeking a KaimÄtanga TÄonga Wai MÄori / Technical Advisor Freshwater to join our motivated team of technical and scientific specialists.
Reporting to the Mountains and Sea Manager, you will have the opportunity to utilise your technical skillset to work on some of the more complex and challenging conservation issues facing Aotearoa / New Zealand.
The overarching focus of the roles is to lead, engage and influence on the protection and recovery of aquatic species and ecosystems across freshwater domains.
The role will be fast paced, often reactive and will require extensive engagement with others. You will partner with iwi, hapu, whÄnau as well as with other central and local government agencies and stakeholders to achieve greater conservation outcomes.
The position is permanent, ideally based in Dunedin or Invercargill, however we will consider alternative locations in New Zealand.

Salary Range $72,610 up to $108,493. Starting salary of the successful candidate will be based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
