AMD's Technical Accounting team is seeking an Intern to join our team from May to August 2022.

 

The Technical Accounting team supports AMD's overall business and will gain broad exposure to multiple corporate accounting and finance processes in a dynamic global semi-conductor company. This intern position will work with a diverse set of stakeholders across our business units to enable operational and strategic objectives. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, California.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with business partner stakeholders to understand business transactions and gather data to support accounting conclusions
  • Prepare documentation and presentations to summarize business transactions and initiatives
  • Create and update accounting and finance policies for the company
  • Support the implementation of operational finance and accounting policies and procedures


Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or business-related disciplines
  • Candidates should be graduating within the next year
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask several projects at once
  • Strong results orientation
  • Strong analytical, written and interpersonal skills with ability to identify problems and collaborate with others to provide options for resolution
  • Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work legally in the United States via citizen, legal residency or an appropriate visa/permit
