Job Description
Within this role you will effectively manage and monitor the assigned unit within budgetary restraints, while conforming to the Clients and OCS specifications.
- To have knowledge of changes in legislation.
- To meet client and company expectations.
- To respond to any reasonable request of OCS or the Client.
- To recruit, train, develop and motivate all OCS site personnel.
- To maintain all company required records and information.
- To ensure the provision of adequate personnel cover at all times, in-line with the Contract specifications.
- To ensure the provision and distribution of adequate consumable products to each assigned unit.
- To assist in the ordering and distribution of food items to assigned catering units.
- To carry out stock checks in line with company policy.
- To cover the roll of domestic personnel, during periods of sickness or holidays, as required.
- To apply quality control procedures to ensure the maintenance of high standards of service and compliance with the contract specifications.
- To liaise with the Contract Manager on all catering and domestic related issues, in order to provide the best possible service to the Trust.
Specific Responsibilities
- To manage and develop the Contract’s Human Resources, to be able to achieve the highest standard of work, with a positive team spirit.
- To maintain staff records and carry out training, in compliance with legislation and company policy, using both in-house and external training schemes.
- To comply at all times with client, company and legal requirements such as health and safety, ensuring the display of notices, first aid and accident reporting.
- To hold regular Team Briefings or one to one meeting with unit staff that cover all relevant topics as outlined on the Company’s Team Briefing sheet.
- To control the budgets for staffing, while maintaining a high level of service to our clients.
- Timely recording and remitting of all company required bookwork and information.
- To ensure that the Contract operates within all current legislation and client policies and that, where appropriate, staff are made aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
- To ensure that specified and correct standards of work are established and maintained and that any deficiency is reported and remedied quickly.

- Managerial or Supervision experience
- Multi Site contract experience.
- Previous experience of working within a customer focused environment.
