Job Description

Our high performing transport team is searching for a new Team Leader to control and coordinate daily activities of the Ammonium Nitrates Distribution complex in accordance with contractual requirements. 

This role will oversee a team of 8 yard operators and will be responsible for managing stock levels, the container yard and implementing process improvements to improve the operation, and maintain safety standards. Working a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, this role is AM only, and reports into the Operations Manager on site. 

As the Team Leader, you will:

• Actively champion safety on site to promote safety initiatives and attend client safety meetings.
• Set detailed work plans, ensuring onsite operations are completed on a daily basis and during shut downs.
• Enable our teams to carry out operational work process to ensure operational excellence. 
• Develop a collaborative customer first culture by maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics highly regarded.
• Previous people management experience and knowledge of DG transport.
• A safety champion, and and active participant in safety meetings.
• Customer focused, and a natural team player with a focus on process improvement.
