Ko tā mātou mahi -  Our Role

The Team Leader - Investment Planning provides leadership to the core team that determines the appropriate investment response for Kāinga Ora based on local council, iwi, community, Kāinga Ora asset quality and market requirements. There are 8-10 team members that report to this role. The Team Leader plays a lead role in the development of Regional Plans (RPs), oversees delivery plans for the area and ensures that the team are meeting targets to achieve the desired outcomes of communities, the outputs set out in the Regional Plans, and produce a desirable outcome for the Kāinga Ora portfolio.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with other Place-based planning leads and the Strategy, Finance and Policy Group to develop regional plans, based on an understanding of the market, and ensure that at a national level the plans support the strategic direction as agreed by the Board and that they are aligned to approved budgets.

The successful candidate must be able to work out of their regular office and travel the breath of the Place-based Auckland/Northland regions regularly.

The Team Leader role has been setup to support the Manager Investment and Planning (MIP) in leading the Investment and Planning team and will be a direct report to the MIP.

• In-depth knowledge and demonstrated high level of experience in property development and associated legislation/regulations
• Demonstrated ability to analyse opportunities and problems from a broad perspective and understand the potential impact of actions taken
• A good understanding and knowledge of government legislation, practices and constraints will be extremely beneficial
