Tax Technology Lead, Senior Manager 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Tax team of a dynamic, fast growing, technology business supporting the expansion of its operation and activities.  This is a brand new role as part of a growing Tax team and will play a critical role in our digital transformation.   

As the Tax Technology Lead  you will have the opportunity to define and lead the Tax technology strategy globally.  Once a plan has been detailed, you’ll then need to roll up your sleeves and put your strategy into practice -  working with multiple stakeholders to execute this.

What you’ll be doing

• Define the tax technology vision and strategy for the Tax team.  Working with wider Tax team members to define and document tax technology requirements and areas of improvement.
• Develop a deep understanding of Deliveroo’s existing tech and financial systems.  Identify efficiencies and improvements that can be made using existing and new tech capabilities, especially around tax reporting and operations.
• Work with key product, engineering and other stakeholders to ensure tax requirements are communicated, understood and implemented.
• Supporting the Tax team with data/platform reporting and financial system analysis/interrogation.  Including helping the tax team to get the best out of our financial systems. 

Requirements

• CTA or other similar credentials preferred.
• Experience in tax technology and tax process/operations across direct and indirect tax.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment.
• Previous experience of an in-house role is an advantage but not critical.
• Previous experience with NetSuite is advantageous. 
• Due to the specialised nature of the role, 5 years + of experience in a tax technology role is desirable, although other relevant experience will be considered.
