Your new role

As the Tax Accountant your responsibilities will be broad, involving the preparation of tax provisions and income tax returns, performing due diligence activities for acquisitions and ensuring that the organisation adheres to local tax and statutory reporting requirements. Your role as the Tax Accountant will also involve research and provision of ad hoc tax advice on corporate and indirect tax matters, along with the preparation of stamp duty lodgements, and BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement. As Tax Accountant you will report to the Senior Tax Manager.

What you'll need to succeed

As the Tax Accountant you will need to demonstrate exceptional technical, analytical, and problem solving skills with high levels of communication. In your role you will be expected to manage a range of different duties and therefore multi-tasking skills will be necessary. It is also essential that you have a thorough knowledge in tax, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Australian market, with experience in large accounting firms or public companies being preferred. Transfer pricing and international tax experience is also desirable. Your role will require proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
