A bit about the job:
You will need to get to grips with both your chosen business unit's and Aviva-wide business strategies, to identify the capabilities needed to execute them. Then you'll deliver an effective up-skilling and re-skilling plan for our workforce, to enable our people to have amazing careers at Aviva! You will also need to challenge and influence leaders across both your aligned business area and our People Function, so that the right L&T initiatives are designed and delivered with impact – therefore a willingness to be vocal and stand your ground will be an important part of the role!
Aviva introduced “smart-working†in 2020 and encourage flexible working - this role can be fulfilled by a balance of working from our fantastic London office and working from home (with occasion travel to our other offices across the UK also)
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Prior experience of Talent AND Learning, for a matrix organisation
Both design AND delivery experience of L&T initiatives
Ability to think commercially and become the ‘eyes & ears’ for the wider L&T team when partnering with your business unit. The ability to truly understanding their business strategy and how L&T initiatives can be an enabler will also be a key skill.
Ability to identify capabilities, skill gaps and re-skilling opportunities within a regulated, corporate environment, taking a data led approach to designing creative and commercial solutions
Experience partnering, presenting and facilitating at a Business Unit ExCo level
What you’ll get for this role:
London salary of £70,000 to £90,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications).
Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8%, when you contribute 2%).
Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
Family friendly parental and carer’s leave.
29 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days.
Up to 40% discount for Aviva products.
Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars.
Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme.
21 volunteering hours per year.
Aviva is for everyone:
We are inclusive – we want applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Excited but not sure you tick every box? Research tells us that women, particularly, feel this way. So, regardless of gender, why not apply. And if you’re in a job share just apply as a pair.
We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you.
Most of our people are smart working – spending around 60% of their time in our offices and 40% at home.
