This Systems Engineer position is a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. Major responsibilities

- Join in on the plan of design of information and operational support systems

- Maintain, configure, install, and test system management tools, operating systems, and application software

- Safeguard security, redundancy strategies, and back up

- Record and keep custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

- Establish standards to actively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

- Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

- Observe and verify application performance for potential bottlenecks, mark possible solutions, and join with developers to instrument those fixes

- Control and watch all installed systems and infrastructure

- Submit 2nd and 3rd level support

Requirements

- It is preferred for applicants to have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks

- Applicants should have experience with monitoring systems

- If you're looking for job openings and have proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems, you might be a good fit for this position

- 7+ years of relevant experience - Solid networking knowledge

- It is preferred for applicants to have experience with automation software

- Microsoft Windows Server experience

- Microsoft SCCM experience

- Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure

- Linux experience preferred

- Applicants should have experience with virtualization and containerization
