Robert Half is hiring now for an experienced Systems Administrator for our Edmonton Client. This role is a Contract/Temporary position and as the successful Candidate you will be entrusted with supporting business applications, internal servers, user desktops, and remote users. As well, the Systems Administrator is accountable for maintaining, configuring, and upgrading all computer/server hardware, software, and network equipment. You are well versed in administration and maintenance of internal systems in a Hyper V environment and have solid experience with Microsoft .NET and SQL . This role is located in Edmonton, AB.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• 3 +  years or more of experience in a similar role with a strong background and ability in server administration and development role, supporting IT equipment
• Proficient working experience with Network troubleshooting
• Solid Server support experience in a Hyper V environment
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability with SQL for basic queries
• Strong technical support experience in a Microsoft based software environment including Sage Timberline products, Crystal Reports, various engineering software
• Software and operating systems knowledge such as UNIX and Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012
• An enquiring mind with the ability to think outside the box and search for answers.
• Must be highly organized with great attention to detail and providing quality results
• Motivated, with a positive attitude and highly adaptable to work in an environment with multiple deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills along with solid proficiencies in verbal and written communication
• ITIL v4, MCSE certifications are a definite plus
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
