Our Finance team is embarking on the implementation of a new system and we’ve selected ‘Oracle Netsuite’ as our supplier. As our Finance Systems Accountant you’ll support the implementation and management of the Financial Processes Administration once the new system is Live. This is a new role to our team and you’ll have a broad knowledge of a finance function and a keen interest in improving the way a finance function works and its ability to serve the business as a collaborative business partner.
Being a new role it is ideally required at the outset of the implementation project to allow you to form part of the project implementation team. This provides an ideal opportunity to contribute to the early design and configuration of the new system, and to be involved at all stages of the implementation - thus building valuable experience prior to taking full responsibility.
Key Accountabilities:
Management and maintenance of Core Chart of Accounts
Oversight of the Finance’s overall Internal Controls Framework and in accordance with approved business instructions, control user access to the General Ledger and wider Finance Applications
Support NetSuite user set up and maintenance in collaboration with IT
Manage Periodic Accounting activities
Update and maintain NetSuite System Documentation and Finance Process Taxonomy including managing any change request process
Monitor NetSuite data integrity, item and entity records
Act as the first point of contact for the business for any issues encountered within Netsuite and 3rd party vendors as required to resolve any issues
In collaboration with IT, NetSuite and other 3rd party vendors to support software updates either planned upgrades, maintenance releases or fixes
Act as both a Finance and Netsuite SME to generate valuable business insight and identify opportunities to amend working methods, practices and processes to ensure continuous improvement
What are we looking for:
Administration experience of Oracle Netsuite
Demonstrable experience in a similar role ideally with a finance focus
Strong communication skills
Experience managing complex dependencies with strong prioritisation skills
A good level of experience in a variety of finance operational roles, ideally a qualified accountant.
Good understanding of Master Data concepts and relational Databases
Finance Report writing ability
Experience working cross-functionally
A good Stakeholder Manager
Patience and the ability to act as a trainer and problem solver
