Sustainable Business Specialist


Location: 
 London (Speechmark building), hybrid working pattern.

What will you be doing?

 

  • Support the delivery of our Purpose strategy and ensure it aligns successfully with business objectives, ESG targets and the wider Sustainable Business narrative. 
  • Support the delivery of specific programmes and partnerships.
  • Work closely with colleagues including all comms teams, Government Affairs, Corporate and External Affairs, the Foundation, Group Sustainable Business and Legal to drive impact and engagement of our team’s work in the UK. 
  • Where applicable, ensure compliance with charity law, Vodafone Foundation compliance guidelines and help to manage Foundation programme delivery, reporting and budget in accordance with Charity Commission rules. 
  • Help to manage ongoing administrative responsibilities of the team, including budget management, supplier payments, reporting and internal stakeholder management.
  • Work with Corporate & External Affairs Department and Leadership team as well as internal business units.
  • Work with Partner NGOs and charities and Delivery suppliers.
  • Support the Sustainable Business team to implement programmes and align with Group Sustainable Business and Foundation teams as appropriate.   
  • Act as point of contact for specific supplier relationships, internal stakeholders and programmes, within and outside of the team. 

 
Who are we looking for?

 

  • Experience working in a sustainable business/social impact/CSR team or with the third sector, working in a social enterprise, with charity partnerships and/or with impactful community programmes.
  • Third party relationship management.
  • Measurement and reporting of effectiveness of programmes.
  • Internal communication – including communication campaigns and multi-level employee engagement including executive communication.
  • External communication – experience of communication campaigns through brand, marketing, social media and/or online channels.
  • High quality verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Has experience with the mechanics of running a corporate foundation or associated charity
  • Able to represent Vodafone confidently and professionally.
