Randstad are currently on the lookout for a local government oriented sustainability officer officer to work within the regeneration department. You will be responsible for advising and supporting areas within the organisation on carbon reduction and greenhouse gas reporting. Main duties include but are not limited too:

• To maintain an up to date knowledge, interpret and provide proactive advice and briefings on the implications for Greener Greenwich of developments in national, regional and European policy.
• Monitor, review and develop systems to ensure full compliance with the Carbon Reduction Commitment and other reporting requirements e.g. Greenhouse Gas Reporting.
• Provide specialist technical advice on how to reduce water and energy consumption as well as supervising staff or consultants as required.
• Prepare and present reports and briefings to Members and senior management as required based upon a meaningful analysis of data and assessment of policy implications.
