Job Description

Role: Product Sustainability Coordinator

Purpose of role: Responsible for supporting the Product Sustainability team to convert product to more sustainable alternatives. Ensuring Primark Cares product adheres to the internal protocols.

Reports to: Sustainability Materials ManagerDuties and Responsibilities:

  • The role involves the collation and validation of data in relation to our Primark Sustainable Cotton Programme. Analysing data and supporting the expansion of the PSCP throughout the business.
  • Working with internal teams and suppliers to help resolve any issues arising through allocation of PSCP to Primark products.
  • Supporting the Product Sustainability Team with training and educating the Buying Teams and Supply Base on Primark Cares Protocols and in ensuring that the appropriate sustainability accreditation/certification is approved.
  • Building key relationships across the business including Primark Cares, Environmental Sustainability, Sourcing, Buying and Merchandising Teams and with our external supply base partners.
  • Supporting the Product Sustainability team to create analytical data to measure progress within our supply chain as we move to more sustainable alternatives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Passionate about sustainability and will appreciate the significance of the sustainability movement in the context of the fashion industry.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and a very strong communicator with a positive mind set.
  • Effective and inspiring networker with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stake holders.
  • Excellent Excel skills and good experience of other Microsoft Office programmes, for example, PowerPoint, Access, Word, etc.
  • Data analytics would be a definite advantage.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in sustainability or related field

Or

  • High Level skill on data analytics or merchandising with a passion for sustainability.
