Business Context  

GNFR, in Woolworths’ terminology, stands for “Goods Not for Resale”. This principally includes Supplies and Packaging Material required in all Group Stores. The range of supplies and packaging materials is extensive and the supply chain which enables fulfilment of GNFR to our Stores is long and complex. It includes OEMs, distributors, freight forwarders, warehouses, transporters, customs, etc. The backend architecture includes IT systems & interfaces, article masters, catalogues, ordering tools, invoicing, reporting and analytics. SRM is critical in integrating these pieces. 

The uninterrupted availability of GNFR is  essential to maintain the operational efficiency of Supermarkets and Stores across the country  

About you 

As a GNFR Supply Operations Specialist you will report to GNFR Supply Operations Lead and will be responsible for managing all systems / platforms, reporting and finance accounting for the successful running of operations. In order to be successful in the role, you will have: 

• Experience in Operations / Logistics/ Supply Chain
• Knowledge in SRM (supplier relationship), able to translate data points into insights to communicate to different audiences
• Experience in SAP and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
• Experience in managing risks, including formulating Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Strong written communication skills, specifically presentation material and reports
• Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically
• Conflict resolution skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work with large data sets
