We are looking to hire a Supply Chain Support Specialist based at our Sheffield facility who will be fully engaged and adaptable, a team player, problem solver and an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities
Assist with interpreting and applying logistics policies, processes and methodologies to support business initiatives
Prepare documentation to support routing and logistics functional requirements
Perform domestic freight transactions
Assist with and perform International freight transactions in accordance with Federal and Regulatory Agency guidelines
Assist with a variety of support services including freight bill audit and related activities, contracts management and negotiations team functions
Prepare and assist with documentation and certification of shipments of dangerous goods and support to compliance initiatives
Coordinate the receipt / dispatch of raw materials / finished goods into and out of the Production Operation
Manage the internal processing, routing, storage, picking and delivery of raw material into the value stream
Package and store finished goods in accordance with Boeing specifications and procedures
Hands on- unloading vehicles, storing away our metal stocks and also dealing with other deliveries coming to site
Supporting the preparation of finished goods for shipping (picking and packing)
Work Authorisation
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.​
Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
Required Qualifications
This role will suit an individual who’s used to working within AS9100 working environment
Experience with IT systems associated within the supply chain or warehouse activities
Ability to perform certain manual activities, such as moving raw materials around our production floor, delivering it to the machines in preparation for the production team
Excellent communication skills required as there is a requirement of the role to engage with various stakeholders; both internal and external.
Fork lift truck driving experience would be a significant advantage
