About The Role

 We're recruiting for a Supply Chain Specialist - Produce to join our agile Supply Chain team. The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for leading projects to deliver against a large strategic change programme. At any time, this may include multiple in-flight projects or complex initiatives; which can span multiple subject areas and involve large cross-functional project teams.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Working with the business team to ensure systems data is input in a timely manner to ensure no impact to availability at a Group level  
  • Owning end to end product, data and performance for their categories and customers
  • Owning the escalations at the right time where opportunities/risks arise in regards to product flow
  • Leading the category availability of product flow measures within the business team
  • Working with business teams on strategic improvements for their categories such as: case size optimising, lead time optimisation, waste improvement, end to end productivity, lowest cost to serve, exception management 
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with the full Business Team who work on the category to agree the optimum levels of products to meet customer demand 
  • Actively managing supplier base and negotiating with suppliers on service performance 
  • Reporting accurately on KPI performance and communicate supply chain category performance out to the wider business in a clear, concise way to drive decision making and action  
  • Working with suppliers and provide accurate information to plan stock levels effectively to maximise sales
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement across, stock, availability and waste
  • Analysing and understanding complex data and present recommendations in a clear and concise way to different stakeholders
  • Actively drive actions that will reduce forecasting variability for their categories, owning the sales alignment for categories
  • Improving availability all the way through the end to end supply chain from supplier to shelf edge (group)
  • Reviewing promotional performance and stock targets on a weekly basis and agree actions with trading to limit impact to inventory levels or wastage at store
  • Giving suppliers accurate information to plan stock levels effectively to maximise sales 
  • Influencing and working with the commercial teams to make decisions that improve availability and reduce waste

About You

So that you are set for success, we are looking for a self-starters, who are exceptional communicators with the ability to influence at all levels. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and strive for excellence. You will also have the following: 

  • An understanding of retail business, processes and consumer demand 
  • Understanding of Supply Chain principles (Stock, availability, Waste & Markdown, Seasonality and promotional impacts)
  • Understanding of supply chain end to end solutions 
  • Understanding of project methodology
  • Advanced level knowledge of Excel with excellent stakeholder management ability 
  • Previous experience of working with colleagues from all levels of the business.
  • Experience of data management, management forecasting and interpreting trends
  • Proven delivery of projects to a schedule
