Role Summary:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Export & Compliance Lead to support Collins Aerospace Actuation. This role is based within our Wolverhampton site but will cover all Actuation sites.
This role will establish and maintain the compliance and adequacy of all Actuation Supply Chain procedures (as included to the QMS) to reflect the exacting needs at a Collins level and in accordance with the relevant industry procedures (including, AS9100).
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Create and implement action plans for those missing and lead their implementation. Perform ad-hoc checks and audits to check compliance to such procedures are maintained.
Maintain, monitor and update the Military Process Manual, focusing on areas including, but not limited to, US Flowdown of FAR and DFARS and other contractual requirements required of the sub-tiers. Up skill the existing supply chain teams on the areas where particular contractual improvements are required.
Maintain compliance of Supply Chain procedures against CMS.
Lead the implementation and optimisation of the current Actuation NDA process.
Support the implementation and roll out of Direct and Indirect contracts approval and retention process.
Provide coordination between the Global Trade group and supply chain, to enable Global Trade to obtain the necessary information from the wider supply chain team and facilitate Global Trade’s review and approval of documentation against export and import regulations. Supply Chain focal point for Texport approvals and xClass administration.
Monitoring and responding to ad-hoc requests from local and central REACh management team.
Work with the business processes team and wider supply chain function to identify where improvements can be made to existing processes and procedures, and regularly carry out audits of such to determine operational compliance.
Identify and lead applicable updates to existing Procurement and Compliance Manuals and Briefing Documents/Standard Works across the sites where necessary.
Coordinate, implement and lead compliance measures and best practices from Collins central compliance team, and be a member of the Collins Compliance Council on behalf of the Actuation Systems sites. Flow down necessary compliance updates to the wider supply chain teams ensuring specific applicability for the Actuation sites.
Support ad-hoc contracts support requests from time to time.
Provide continued support to the Actuation sites as reasonably requested and required by the Actuation Systems business.
Skills & Experience:
Experience of aerospace, automotive or manufacturing industries
Professional understanding of supply chain export compliance activity in an international environment (USA, UK, Italy, France)
Excellent written and oral communication is essential, together with attention to detail, good problem solving and negotiation ability
Experience in monitoring compliance and ensuring the flowdown and communication of supply chain contractual requirements
Experience in communicating and presenting to senior leadership teams internally on an ad-hoc basis
Experience in driving improvements and strategy initiatives to improve the methods of working within a Contracts function
