Job Description

The Role

 

We’re looking for someone to be accountable for providing support to the Supply Chain Management team in terms of; preparing invitation to tender documentation in relation to specific procurement activities, managing and monitoring progress of RFQ’s (Request for Quotations), providing advice and information on contract change including proposed scope changes and recommending appropriate action and producing required documentation. 


You’ll have responsibility for assessing and valuing Contractor’s applications and processing payment certificates in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions. You’ll also be required to review Contractor deliveries including where appropriate, attending valuation and progress review meetings.


Working in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll provide support in regards to monitoring and reporting on commercial aspects of the contract/procurement activities and/or flagging issues at the earliest opportunity.


The role will allow you to take full ownership of the administration of the Early Warning process as well as the administration of commercial management tools including but not limited to, IVALUA, CEMAR and SAP.


With the support of your team, you’ll manage the preparation of commercial cost reports and progress measurement as well as compiling Supplier Performance and Lessons Learnt reports.
 

The Skills

 

We’d love for you to have experience in terms of a basic understanding of contract performance management, risk management and change and claim management.


You’re likely to have experience of working as part of a team within a commercial environment as well as experience of industry standard procurement practices.


It would be great if you have good communication skills to command professional respect at all levels. 


You may be educated to degree level or have relevant work experience with the ability to demonstrate a track record of successful contract administration.


Good working knowledge of contracts, basic estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling is desirable.
