The Role:
AMD is looking for a student to join us for a Summer/Fall 2022 terms and help our Design for Test team develop groundbreaking microprocessor products.

The Person:
This team is looking for a candidate with strong communication skills and ability collaborate, to interact with our team an across functional teams. The candidate should have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to details and a willingness and desire to work and grow their skills in the area of microprocessor test and verification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and verify structural test features to meet product testability, diagnostic and quality requirements.
• Develop and validate structural modes, test protocol and process flows to ensure thorough structural quality targets.
• Utilize ATPG tool expertise to analyze and drive closure on structural coverage goals.
• Work to streamline design validation process and test feature operation to reduce cost of test.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• In progress towards a BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Solid understanding of the basics of transistors and computer architecture.
• Familiarity with Linux, Ruby/Perl/Python scripting, Java or C++, and regular expressions is preferred.
• Logic Design and knowledge of DFT features, including scan design, Hardware compression (both combinational and sequential), JTAG, Memory Built In Self Test (M-BIST), Logic-BIST, Core encapsulation methods including IEEE1500 are a plus
• Exposure to commercial ATPG tools, abstract fault models, memory models and fault simulation techniques are a plus.
