The role involves RTL performance analysis and microbenchmarking for the Infinity Fabric (Interconnect) IP.
The co-op engineer will work closely with the architecture, design and modeling teams working on high-performance
SOC interconnect designs in both the pre- and post-silicon phases of product development. The primary job tasks
are expected to be in the area of new performance metrics data collection and visualization (from RTL, model and
silicon environments) initiatives, and performance debug tools for RTL simulations. He or she will also get exposure
to microbenchmarking plans at the IP level, and support performance debug at the SOC level. The role requires
familiarity with computer architecture concepts, including cache coherency, pipelining, etc. Prior exposure to memory
system performance concepts is preferred.
