Description

To manage cable landing station submarine systems. Attend NOC and incidences within the submarine cables. Provide remote hands and be on call when need and provide support with Cable landing Station Projects.

•    Maintain knowledge and experience of the various aspects of the submarine equipment management.
•    Support for incidences.
•    Manage circuits from Creation to development within the submarine team.
•    Coordinate and assist during incidences or under request of SSE Team.
•    Supervision and manage of submarine equipment.
•    Support planned activities.
•    Responsibility for control and planning, implementation support, operation and technical consultancy of all aspects of submarine systems.
•    Support projects implementation
•    Produce requested documentation
•    Monitor Network when required and attend Customers (NOC functions when need)
•    Liaise with other departments within Vodafone to support submarine activities.
•    Liaise with other departments & co-ordinate support activities
•    Carry out Site surveys and visits
•    Be up to date of training on Submarine equipment.
•    Attend incidences when on call
•    Provide support with Cable landing Station Projects

Job Responsibility

Essential
 
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience as an engineer in the field/design of telecommunications installations.
•    Network manage experience

 
Desirable

•    Experience of submarine transmission equipment currently in use by Vodafone 
•    Experience attending incidences 
•     NOC expertise
•    Technical sites Infrastructure Knowledge
 
 
Qualifications
 
•    HNC or above in Engineering or Relevant technical experience.
