What you’ll be doing…

•    Provide Structural Engineering support to the business during periods of high risk and urgency
•    Provide Structural technical direction and support to establish a temporary or permanent corrective action plan, and support root cause analysis and solution development when required
•    Ensure all Structural Engineering assessments, advice and recommendations are fully documented in accordance with all internal procedures
•    Support technical and commercial due diligence (whether internal or external) activities
•    Support the operations team with developing maintenance and care strategies for structures and foundations of Offshore and Onshore wind assets
•    Responsible for ensuring Structural related risks are identified, captured, recorded and addressed appropriately
•    Ensure that Structural related lifetime costs are optimised during the origination, design, and construction of EDF Renewable assets
•    Ensure decommissioning and/or end of life of Structural components is considered during the design and construction phases of projects

Who you are...

The successful candidate will be a qualified Structural Engineer effective in delivering projects/programmes, establishing/managing relationships, securing and maintaining a safe environment, managing priorities, and inspiring and influencing behaviours and actions.
Chartered membership of an appropriate body would be an advantage.

Design and/or operational experience in any of the following is desirable:
o    Wind turbine offshore foundations (monopiles, jackets, gravity based, floating), transition piece, and corrosion protection system
o    Wind turbine onshore foundations
o    Steel structures inc. wind turbine towers, platforms, secondary steels structures 
o    Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) foundations and mounting structures
o    Photovoltaic (PV) mounting structures
o    Foundation Condition Monitoring Systems
